University for the Creative Arts는 2005년 8월 The Kent Institute of Art & Design (KIAD)와 The Surrey Institute of Art & Design, University College 가 합병되어 세워졌습니다. University for the Creative Arts at Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone, Rochester 라는 이름으로 잉글랜드 남동부를 가로지르는 독특한 5개의 고장에서 Art, Design, Architecture, Media and Communication 분야 약 80여개에 이르는 크리에이티브 전문 과정을 교육합니다. 졸업생들의 성공을 일으킨 명성과 19세기 예술 교육으로 거슬러 올라가는 독특한 역사를 가진 이곳은 스페셜리스트 아트 & 디자인 교육 분야에 관한 영국의 선구적인 교육 기관 중 하나입니다.
